Conflict and tension do not in themselves render dialogue impossible; what builds the wall between us is our willingness to remain ignorant of others. This is why it is crucial to be the one to initiate dialogue. Everything starts from there. - Dr. Daisaku Ikeda Idea of â€Å"World Peace Proposal† is taken from the book â€Å"PEACE† written by SGI President Dr. Daisaku Ikeda. Every year, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda publishes a peace proposal which explores the interrelation between core Buddhist concepts and the diverse challenges global society faces in the effort to realize peace and human security. In addition, he has also made proposals touching on issues such as education reform, the environment, the United Nations and nuclear abolition. He has also mentioned many famous freedom fighters like Gandhi, authors like Wole Soyinka and so on. Basic motive of Dr. Ikeda was to discuss three priority themes for promoting the achievement of these goals and, on a broader scale accelerating efforts to eliminate the word â€Å"Misery† from the face of planet. The first is the â€Å"rehumanisation of politics and economic† making their prime motivation the alleviation of the suffering of individuals. The most important driving force for this is the solidarity of ordinary citizens who have raised their voices based on an unyielding commitment to our collective future.
